Pick 13: Renova v Glentoran

Lots of speculation about Renova's lineup today artificially raised the price. They are a good team and i am sure they will beat Glentoran without problems.

Tip: Renova @1.4 (bet365)
Stake: 75

Result: Renova won 2-1
W-L: 8-5

Pick 12: Petra Kvitova v Tsvetana Pironkova

Going through the list and seing who Pironkova beat on the way here i think 3.75 is just way too good to miss.

Tip: Pironkova to win @3.75 (bet 365)
Stake: 50

Result: Kvitova won 2-1
W-L: 7-5
P/L: -50

3. Halmstad v Helsingborg Lay @1.72 -49.54

W-L 0-3
P/L: -148.62

Pick 11: Bernard Tomic v Xavier Malisse

You can't really expect for Tomic to beat Malisse based solely on one win against Soderling (who was clearly tired from his 5 set match against Hewitt). At this price this is a steal.

Tip: Malisse to win @1.62 (Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Tomic beat Malisse for the surprise of the day
W-L: 7-4
P/L: -100
Overall P/L:

W-L: 0-3
P/L: -150.9

Pick 10: Ham-Kam v Hodd

Ham-Kam won its last 6 matches while playing some great football. Hod on the other hand is bad away from home, only 1 win in 6 matches.

Tip: Ham-Kam win @1.89 (Betfair)
Stake: 75

Result: Ham-Kam won 2-1
W-L: 7-3
P/L: 59.66
Overall P/L:
+159.31, total bets: 775€, ROI: 20.55%

Pick 9: IK Start v Valerenga

I give the edge to the away team here. According to Bojan Zajic (Valerenga) they are getting two players back from the Gold Cup and on the other hand Start is in some disarray.

Tip: Valerenga to win @2.48
Stake: 75

Result: Valerenga won 2-0
W-L: 6-3
P/L: 101.7

Overall P/L: 99.65

Saturday, June 25, 2011

Pick 8: Xavier Malisse v Jurgen Melzer

Malisse leads 2-1 in their head to head and they are yet to play on grass where Malisse is the best.

Tip: Malisse to win @1.79 (Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Malisse comfortably won 3-0
W-L: 5-3
P/L: +75.05

Lay the away favorite- Day 2

Due to a slight loss yesterday and the bank being below 10000 we will have to lower the maximum liability on each match to 48.7€.

Day 2 matches:

1.Bolungarvik v Breidablik lay@1.77 Win 60
2.Husquarna FF v IF Sylvia lay@1.84 Loss -48.7

W-L: 1-1
Total for day 2: +11.3
Bank after day 2: 9985.52

Pick 7: Robin Soderling v Lleyton Hewitt

I saw Hewit against Rochus a week ago and he was atrocious. If he presents anything simillar to that he stands no chance against Soderling. At 1.38 (Betfair) this is far too good .

Tip: Soderling @1.38 (Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Soderling beat Hewitt after a great battle 3-2
W/L: 4-3
P/L: +36.1
Overal P/L: -77.1

Lay the away favorite- Day 1

Today i will start a test run of this simple system. I choose a few matches where the away team is odds on favorite and lay them. This system, if done right has provided some good results in the past, so why not try it. The starting bank will be 1000. Max liability i can take on one match is 1/200 of the bank.

Today's matches:

1. Vasteras- Asiriska lay@1.95 -50
2. Alta- Tromso lay@1.64 +74.22
3. OPS- Oulu lay @1.95 -50

W-L: 1-2
P/L for day 1: -25.78
Bank after day 1: 9974.22

Pick 6: Tsvetana Pironkova v Petra Martic

We're riding the Pironkova train for one more stop today because of her 85% 1st serve points won in the first round. Also, the match with Serena Williams a week ago proved she is more than capable to pose a threat even to the best. Martic, although capable of serving 10 aces per game, has a very low 1st serve percentage.

Tip: Pironkova to win @1.58 (Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Pironkova killed Martic 6-1 6-4
W-L: 3-3
P/L: +55.1
Overal P/L: -113.2

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Pick 5 Jelena Jankovic v Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez

Jankovic, who hasn't played since Roland Garros should easily go through the first hurdle here. Her opponent doesn't leave much to the imagination here. She beat Peer twice in the last two tournaments she played, but Peer is not such a great player either (Jankovic is 2-0 against her).

Tip: Jankovic @1.39 (Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Jankovic lost too, which brings me to 0-3 today. Better luck tomorrow i suppose.
W-L: 2-3
P/L: -100
Overal P/L: -168.3

Pick 4 Naomi Broady vs. Anne Keothavong

I am going to go with the less obvious one in this matchup. Broady at 2.88 is just too good to miss. My guess is that you can get it up to 2.9 at betfair because 2.88 is the back price offered atm and the lay price is 2.9. The logic behind this one is that you only need her to win 1 out of 3 matches at this odds and you have a positive expected value. With that serve and hopefully with a few more percentage points in the "first serve %" column i think she could beat Keothavong.
The main factor inflating the price, i think, is the head-to-head, which is 2-0 in favor of Keothavong. First match was in Nothingam 2010 where she comfortably beat her 2-0. Same venue, only this year, the match was much tighter and ended 2-1 (7-5 in the last set).
For those of you not so keen to bet on the underdog this also might be used as a great trade-out-in-play opportunity.

Tip: Broady to win @2.88
Stake: 50

Result: The kid was a moron! No backhand whatsoever and a zillion unforced errors. It was enough just to return it over the net and she would take care of the rest. Terrible loss. In running trading out with a profit shouldn't have been a problem at all.
W-L: 2-2
P/L: -50
Overal P/L: -68.3

Pick 3: Simona Halep v Bojana Jovanovski

Jovanovski is a clear favorite here and should have no problem in the first round against Halep. She showed great form in Eastbourne, reaching the last 16 and beating Medina Garrigues and Pavlyuchenko on the way there. Halep on the other hand lost to Cibulkova in the first round in Hertogenbosch 6-3 6-0 and never really stood a chance. She won less than 50% of her first serve points.

Tip: Jovanovski to win @1.36 (on Betfair)
Stake: 100

Result: Jovanovski got run over, this one goes in the loss column. You cant have 14 unforced errors and 50% 1st serve points won.
W-L: 2-1
P/L: -100
Overal P/L: -18.3

Pick 2: Tsvetana Pironkova vs. Camila Giorgi

Pironkova taking on Giorgi seems like a tricky one due to Giorgi's form lately. However, when we take into account the fact that Giorgi played most of her matches in the lower tiers, 1.48 (Betfair) is just too good. Here's a useful link for studying the form. Also, the tipsters in one of the best betting forums OLBG fancy Pironkova to take it. The percentage of tips is 75%-25%, but cash placed is 90%-10% in Pironkova's favour.

Tip: Pironkova to win @1.48
Stake: 75

Result: Pironkova demolished Giorgi 6-2 6-1
W-L: 2-0
Profit/Loss: +34.2
Overal P/L: +81.7

Pick 1: Germany U17- Ecuador U17

Germany is an absolute favorite here. You can find them at 1.5 betfair, which is far too good to miss.

Tip: Germany to win @1.5 on betfair.
