Pick 192: Seppi- Davydenko

This match would have been of no interest to me at the opening odds (Davydenko win around 1.6). The market moved in a favorable direction this morning and i'd be more than happy to take Davydenko at a price around 1.8.
Davydenko leads the head to head 3-1, 3-0 in the last three. The only loss against Seppi came on grass in 2004. Another huge factor in this one should be the amount of matches played lately. While Davydenko has played 5 matches last month and one match this month (the loss against Ferer in the QF in Valencia) Seppi has played 10 matches the last month and another 4 already this month, the most recent one against Querrey yesterday (a win in 3 sets).
Seppi has shown some good form lately, but a deeper look at the opponents shows that the draw was favorable in a lot of the latest matches. He won the Mons tournament in October beating Bennetau, Darcis, Berankis, Jaziri and Burquier on the way to the win. We can agree that none of these players represents the very best in tennis at the moment. Other than that he lost to Berrer, Cilis and Nishikori in the following few tournaments he played.
Davydenko doesn't play as much tournaments. Despite the loss to Darcis in he first round in Vienna all other losses lately came against top-notch oponents. Tipsarevic beat him twice, Djokovic once and Ferrer once to end his tournament campaigns in Valencia, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur and the US open.

Pick: Davydenko @1.77 (betonline)
Stake: 100

Result: LOST
