About selling out

I understand that we are all here to make some extra cash and have fun while doing that. The luckiest among the thousands of tipster bloggers even get to a point where they can sell their tips and make money without even placing a single bet themselves. That is all cool and i wish every one of you the best of luck in achieving that.
However, you should always be aware of the way you sell out. The true fans of the blog /website are the ones that were there before you went commercial. Your blog is their own "little discovery" and they love it just because of that. The ones that come after you sell out will leave just as easily and never come back.
The reason why i am writing this (thus placing my daily tips on the second spot) is because a "little discovery" of mine sold out in the most pathetic of ways. The blog of a once truly remarkable tipster became the yellow pages for every single bookie in the world. His blog now takes an hour to load because of all the banners that he placed on the front page and occasionally even crashes your browser. On top of that all he's charging his own tips through an SMS service (and not for a small amount). Technically, now he's advertising both his own SMS picks service and a million bookies at the same time.
The technical term for that is whoring i believe! He didn't find the grace to go one way or another, but went for the money and in any way possible. Additionally, after introducing the SMS service he also altered the way he presents the data of his SMS service. He now only states whether he achieved Profit or Loss for the month using the stakes he recommends. Given the fact that the stakes he recommends are usually 100e, there is no way you can follow it (provided you have a solid bankroll management).
Nothing more can be said about this, he made his own choice, i hope it brings him a lot of money, but it surely wont have anything to do with me or me linking to his site. That's my little contribution to eradicate all the pathetic sellouts. Even if you decide to sell, sell in style.
